Galliano Vanilla
Galliano Vanilla is an Italian liqueur created in 1896. It is a distinctive liqueur made from over 30 herbs and spices, sourced from all over the world.
The word liqueur comes from the Latin word liquifacere which means “to dissolve.” This refers to the dissolving of the flavourings used to make the liqueur. A liqueur is a distilled spirit that is sweetened and flavoured with either fruit, spices, nuts or herbs. It must be a minimum of 15% ABV and 100g sugar per litre.
Liqueurs are not usually aged for long periods of time, but may have resting periods during their production to allow flavours to marry. There are many categories of liqueurs, including fruit, herb, brandy based, nut and cream based liqueurs.
