BOLS
The Bols
brand was founded in 1575 and is now distributed in 110 countries. The
line of Bols liqueurs alone is composed of more than 30 different
flavors.
Brand History
The word liqueur comes from the Latin word liquifacere which means “to dissolve.” This refers to the dissolving of the flavourings used to make the liqueur. A liqueur is a distilled spirit that is sweetened and flavoured with either fruit, spices, nuts or herbs. It must be a minimum of 15% ABV and 100g sugar per litre.
Liqueurs are not usually aged for long periods of time, but may have resting periods during their production to allow flavours to marry. There are many categories of liqueurs, including fruit, herb, nut, brandy based and cream based liqueurs.
Bols is a unique range of flavoured liqueurs. We have a range of 8 flavours available in the Australian market.
